Nutley Park School Auditorium hosted a large Lincoln Centennial ceremony under the Board of Education. The Grace Church Cadets and Naval Brigade led processions, a Veterans Tablet was unveiled listing dozens of veterans, and Dr. Philhower and Hon. Everett P. Wheeler spoke on Lincoln and Gettysburg. The program closed with "America" and a benediction.

Miss Gladys Rylands Weds Dr Hitchcock in New York

Miss Gladys Predeaux Rylands formerly of Nudley and now a New York resident married Dr Freeman St Clair Hitchcock of New York on Wednesday night. The ceremony at 122 West Seventy first Street Flatbush was conducted by Rev Sayden Herbert Cox of the First Congregational Church. The bride wore a white messaline gown trimmed with rosepoint. The couple will reside at the Hotel Marie Antoinette in New York City.

A Musical Treat at St Pauls Church Concert

The Thursday night concert at St Pauls Congregational Church impressed attendees with high level performances. Miss Ethel Severence stood in for Douglas Laneé delivering well received numbers with encores. Miss Winifred Marshall and violinist Franklin H Bishop earned praise. Carl Aue was noted for his artistry. The event succeeded both socially and financially.

Ghost Will Walk Tonight Town Treasurer Sets Payment Window

Town Treasurer Kierstead will be at Town Hall from 8 to 10 tonight to issue checks to claimants approved at the Wednesday Town Council meeting. The change aligns with the holiday shifting the normal pay night.

Nutley Council Orders Finance Committee Review of Claims

The Nutley Town Council referred all claims to the Finance Committee and Town Clerk for a plan to avoid delaying payments. The Myrtle avenue improvements were approved after no objections. Other actions included sharing clerk expenses with Bloomfield, seeking all night trolley service, macadam work petitions, and stationery order for the assessor.
