The James R. Hay lawn will host a Christmas tree lighting next Friday afternoon organized by a committee led by Mrs Alfred V. Seaman and Miss Leman. Grace Chu Sanday School lent the tree and Santa will be played by Henry Libby or Kingsland Hay. Gifts, candy, and 400 jackknives for boys will accompany the event along with dressed dolls and toy-making by local groups.

Public Service Lineman Electrocuted Amid Storm
Andrew Campbell a 22 year old lineman was instantly killed on Prospect Street while handling a fallen wire during the Monday storm. A fellow worker warned him not to touch the line without gloves minutes before the accident. Wet torn insulation and 2400 volts were cited as the direct cause. Campbell lived with his mother and brother on Washington Avenue in Paterson.
