Postmaster Chase announces a new one mail daily direct service from New York to Nutley, removing Newark transit delays. NY closing time soon before 6 PM with Nutley delivery at 6 30 PM, speeding replies to business letters and improving overall mail flow.
The Convention Committee plans Firemen's Day events in Nutley on May 16 including a parade. An April 36 Town Hall Auditorium show by Vantaca Eagine Company and West Nutley House Company draws strong interest. Tickets sold indicate strong turnout. at least a dozen visiting fire companies with fighting machines are expected, bringing hundreds of firemen to parade.
At Grace Church Nutley Easter Monday April 16 officers for the year were elected. Senior warden J. M. Chase, junior warden Lyman Nichols, vestrymen C. A. Whitney 0.35 Fenton J.B. Williams Geo. B. Douglas H. M. Libby Frederic Davie August Brauer J. F. Galland, treasurer Geo. B. Douglas, secretary.
The Reformed Church sets Sunday services with Rev. Wai-Stuart preaching at 2 30 pm on Mysterious Footsteps and 7 45 pm on Speechless. Sunday School and Bible Class at 9 45 am. Sons and Daughters of the King at 7 15 pm. Prayer Meeting on Wednesday at 8 pm.
Sunday services at 11 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. mark the final pastorate of Rev C Helming at St Pauls Congregational Church. Sunday School convenes 9:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. with a Young Peoples Meeting 7 p.m. and Midweek Meeting Wednesday 8 p.m.

William T. Berg of Passaic and Nutley avenues won multiple prizes at the Beach Show in Atlantic City this week. Champion Kuricak took three first prizes in a four point event, while Liberty Bell earned two second prizes and has a history of first prizes in earlier contests.
The regular Kempton Council Royal Arcanum meeting will be held Monday evening the 23d at Masonic Hall corner of Prankla avenue and High street. A lecture by Mr George E Rises Kempton Council member on The Making of An Hopcyclopedia follows after the business.
