Nibelungen Ring Lectures Set by Miss Wheeler Hawley

Two lectures on Stories From the Nibelungen Ring will be given by Miss Mary Wheeler Hawley on April 23 and 30 in the Nutley School building on Chestnut Street. Tickets at the door cost fifty cents per lecture or one dollar for both.

The Board of Health held its regular monthly meeting Wednesday night. Several measles cases were reported town wide but normal for the season. An ordinance to establish a bureau of vital statistics was advanced to a second reading, with final action due at the next regular meeting.

At the Wednesday town council meeting Mr. E. P. Montague of Grant Avenue was appointed a member of the Board of Health. He runs a wholesale drug business in New York City and has lived in Nutley for several years. He attends Grace Church and is well known among commuters.

The Reformed Church Weekly Services and Activities

Councilman Halsey reported the Public Service Corporation will provide a later Newark Nutley rail car schedule starting Thursday with last Newark car at 2 37 a m and Broad and Market streets car at 1 57 a m The council also debated road bed oiling funding with property owners to share costs and requested a weight certificate for quarry stone to curb billing errors.

Bird Mimic and Violinist At Prospect Street Event

Mrs. William J. Kinsley hosts an afternoon entertainment at her Prospect Street home on Saturday the 24th. Mr. Ward Avis, known as the Bird Mimic, will present a program of bird songs and whistling, backed by his violin.
