Plans to Honor Red Men statue for New York Harbor
A Washington committee promotes a national gift to memory of Native Americans by erecting a copper statue in New York Harbor. Rodman Wanamaker and others back the project with broad public support, targeting pennies from every U S household. The design by Carl Tefft features a 400 foot shaft above a 150 foot rotunda and colonnades.
