Bids On Jail TV Are Called For Huron County Jail
Huron County Commissioners will open bids Oct. 19 for a closed circuit security system at the jail. The project includes five indoor cameras, two outdoor cameras, housings mounts two outdoor scanners eight monitors and installation. A $6 757 federal grant funds three quarters of the cost with about 2253 from county funds and the rest from sheriff and commissioners. The indoor cameras will cover the jail main cell area and upstairs while two outdoor oscillating cameras will monitor the courthouse and jail areas. The system was approved by the commissioners in May.
