Two Held For Theft and Marijuana Charges
A routine Ohio State Patrol stop on U S 20 east of Ohio 18 at about 1 a m led to larceny charges for Gary M Herbst 19 of Danbury Conn a passenger and a 17 year old driver from Miles Iowa both held in Huron County Jail with larceny and marijuana possession alleged. The car was reported stolen in Clinton Iowa and marijuana was found in Herbsts possession.

Norwalk Man Sentenced for Probation Violation and Break-ins
Thomas E. Houghtlen of 22 West Elm Street received a one to 15 year sentence in Mansfield Reformatory after pleading guilty in Common Pleas Court to violation of probation. The 18 year old was on five years probation for a November 1971 breaking and entering of the Pullman Inn and for a June 18 Terry's Drive-in break-in. A fourth auto theft charge was dropped for lack of evidence.
