Penalty calls stump Vermilion Norwalk fans in game

Vermilion and Norwalk fans questioned two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in a Trucker Sailor clash. The calls arose from a new OHSAA rule requiring a visibly waving arm for a fair catch signal, not just the traditional hand raise. Norwalk coach Bob Hart said he was unaware of the rule and found the officiating consistent yet confusing.

Two Mistakes Cost Edison Second Win

Edison Chargers blew a 14-0 lead in a 14-14 tie with Wellington as two costly miscues sparked by defensive lapses and a late Wellington drive. Wellington quarterback Mark Kepler led a final 47 yard strike to EvIn Conley, followed by a quarterback keeper for the decisive TD with 41 seconds left.
