Sharon Jeanne Schillig and James Lee Schoenegge were married in a candlelight service at First United Presbyterian Church Norwalk officiated by Dr. J K McDivitt Jr. The couple will reside at 16 Norwood Ave. after a trip through the Eastern United States and Canada.
The Norwalk Jaycee Women's Club held a get acquainted potluck at Mrs. Bruce Fittler's home. Members voted to sponsor a garage sale on Oct. 10 at 17 Garcia Drive and sent a donation to the Firelands Historical Society in the club's name. A thank you note from U. S. Jaycee president Gordon Thomas was read.
Tonight and Tuesday calendar lists several gatherings. Mrs Thomas White hosts a book club in Sandusky at 8 p m and Kennel Club and TOPS chapters meet across multiple venues. Additional events include a Mile high discussion, Senior Center projects, and Scouting activities.
Members of the Lazy Aces Saddle Club invited 4-H the New Haven area to a Sept 19 fun show at the Lloyd Dawson home with a wiener roast after the 7 pm event. The Sept 26 overnight Trail Ride will be at the Charlie Frankkart farm for members families and friends.
Young girl reporter Lynn Hollenbeck found George Hamilton at a local doctor's office during his Butte filming. She missed an interview because her hair was in curlers.
The first meeting of the Phi Eta Sigma chapter will be held at 7 30 tonight at Dianne Schaffer’s home, 70 East Elm.
Alva Hinckley and Terry Nippert will report on their Hawaii trip at the Firelands Business and Professional Women's Club dinner tonight at 6 30 at the Elks Country Club.
Barbara Ann Brumby and Joseph Edward Fisher exchanged vows at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Pauls Catholic Church. Brumby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley D. Brumby of Medina, wore an ivory peau de soie wedding gown and carried white glamellas. Fisher, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Fisher of Norwalk, is a student at Ohio University with plans for graduate study in sports administration. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Gerald Stein with maid of honor Gail Davis and bridesmaids Janet and Jeanie Fisher among others. After a reception at the Elks Country Club the couple left for a trip to Foxhead Inn, Ontario, Canada. Brumby attended The American School in Tehran and The Washington School for Secretaries. she is employed as a legal secretary. Fisher will graduate in December and pursue graduate studies while his wife works at Ohio University.
