OPEC Seeks Oil Price Freeze and Higher Royalties
In Vienna the 12 member OPEC nations agreed to freeze crude at 11.65 dollars per barrel and raise royalties to producer governments. Iran's Jamshid Amouzegar said the ministers acted as they did in Quito, where prices were frozen and royalties raised from 12.5 to 14.5 percent, though the exact royalty rise was not yet decided.
