Terry Smith, 16, who disappeared after a minor car accident on Ridge Road Aug 18, was located in Toledo 24 days later. He hitchhiked from Chicago, stayed with a Cuban boy Ralph and his step-mother, and did not recall events since the crash. His family drove him home Wednesday night.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Patrolman Donald C. Lay earned the Citation of Merit after saving at least eight people from floods in Huron County during July 4 storms. The Norwalk post member was named Outstanding Patrolman of the Year 1966 at Norwalk and Outstanding Patrolman of District Two in 1967.
