Norwalk Chamber nominates twelve for board of directors
Norwalk Chamber of Commerce named twelve candidates Thursday for its board of directors. Six will be elected by mail in October and take office January 1 for three year terms. Nominees include Elmer Buki Robert Wiedemann Wilbur Edwards Allen Hakes Mark Beeman Wayne Ward Wayne Kenney John Wickert Haron Jennings Art McCarty Walter Kuhlman and James Kovacs.

Milan unveils revised starting ages for kindergarten and first grade
Milan public schools announce age requirements to meet the 1967 law. Children may begin kindergarten at five if age is met by Sept 30 this year, with 1966 cutoffs shifting to Oct 31 for five year olds and Oct 15 for six year olds for first grade. By 1967 the cutoff dates remain Oct 31 for both kindergarten and first grade enrollments.

Young swimmers to perform show at Elks Country Club pool
Forty five children ages six to fourteen will present a water show at the Elks Country Club pool at 4 p m Sunday. Carol Widman, director and swimming instructor, says the program will feature synchronized exhibitions plus swimming and diving demonstrations from beginner to intermediate levels.
