Two-vehicle crashes hospitalize several area residents
Early Saturday and Sunday crashes left Craig Miller 28 Norwalk and Charles Wilber 24 Monroeville in Sandusky Memorial Hospital in guarded and satisfactory condition respectively. Other incidents nearby hospitalized Thomas Burras 51 and Bertha Ward, with Burras's daughter Tammy killed, and two Bellevue residents in Bellevue Hospital. A Norwalk youth Anthony Schneider was cited for speed after Skid, and a train collision near U S 224 left Steven Weaver 23 Willard uninjured. Various drivers cited for drunken driving and excessive speed as reports remain under investigation.

Two 15 year olds arrested after brief store run
Police detained two Norwalk youths aged 15 early Sunday after they were seen running in and out of Jo Eds Carryout on Whittlesey Avenue. No forced entry and nothing reported missing. The teens were returned to parents and face juvenile court. Bike thefts reported by Richard Beer and Jack Parker with two 10 speeds missing.
