Trucker Given 30 Days Jail Time After Fatal Oct 1 Crash
Elmer Blakely Jr., 44, the truck driver from Sandusky, was sentenced in Fostoria Municipal Court to 30 days in jail and a $500 fine after pleading no contest to two counts of second degree manslaughter from the October 1 steel-hauling crash near Tiffin that killed two young men. Gary R. Draxler, 22, and Michael Hay, 20, were involved. Hay remains hospitalized in Elyria Memorial. The judge noted a history of minor tickets and potential license suspension could follow.

City Traffic Chief Targets $2500 In Park Tickets
