Quail Expansion Aids Quail Population And Deer Violations
Ohio wildlife officials urge bird dog owners to report white quail coveys to aid captive breeding for an expanded quail population. The agency plans to capture 250 quail pairs for breeding and spring release in 1980. Four Sandusky residents were found guilty of taking a deer out of season, fined $100, and given three years hunting privileges revoked. A new Erie County deer check station opens at Gastown Station. Kalfus Korner outlines duck and goose seasons, point-based duck limits, and seasonal hunting hours with sunrise to sunset rules.
