In Dubuque Iowa officials opted not to discipline Hempstead High School coach Robert Timmerman after he spray painted a chicken and ordered players to kick it for inspiration. The injured bird was destroyed following the incident.
A five month probe by the Army inspector general found 118.5 million dollars in missing or stolen gear across 116 units in the U S Europe and South Korea. Missing items averaged 6.5 percent of those under unit responsibility and some goods may have entered the black market.
