A $100,000 damage suit filed in San Diego accuses Howard Cosell and ABC as codefendants. The plaintiff, 16 year old Scott Schindler, says Cosell struck him in the face after the boy requested an autograph last March 30.

Karl J. Kessler 83 of rural Norwalk died at Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital after a life in Huron County farming. He served in the USS Army in France during World War I and is survived by his wife Mary Ellen and two sons among other relatives. Funeral plans are pending in North Fairfield. James P. Mullins 99 of rural Nova died at his daughter’s residence. Funeral service will be held at Eastman Funeral Home with burial in Nova Cemetery. Steven Michael Wade 19 of Willard died from a drug overdose at Willard Area Hospital. Burial and survivors are listed with Willard services held today.
