Victor VanHentenryck, 74, a well known Norwalk sign painter, is in satisfactory condition at Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital after a ladder collapsed while he was putting up a sign at the Republican Headquarters on Benedict Avenue. He sustained two fractured ribs and a bruised leg. The injury occurred Monday and his wife said he was in good spirits Tuesday evening.

False ID Used For Driver's Test
Two men were fined 100 and costs and sentenced to 60 days in jail for giving false information when applying for a driver's license at Monroeville. Ricky L. Tyree 18 of Oberlin faced charges of false application. Ernest L. Keesecker 21 of unknown location allowed another to use his ID to take the exam. Fifty days suspended if fines paid. both must serve at least 10 days.
