Ayres Resigns From City Development Commission
Willard officials accepted Weldon Ayres resignation from the City Development Commission citing time and communication issues. Council has not named a replacement. An ordinance on burning hours was set for next meeting, while a state order banning refuse burning cannot be enforced until a November 1973 referendum. The old time-based burning rules are deemed illegal by law. Police will file affidavits for illegal burning complaints. The state stocked Willard Reservoir with 11,000 bass and plans a 1974 public opening. A Wednesday meeting will discuss duck blinds at the reservoir.
