He seeks compensation for the vehicle damage.
Walter H. Murphree, 44, of Columbus, attempts to start an open cockpit plane as the throttle is set too far back. The plane spins away, taxis toward him, and Murphree grabs a wing, is struck, and the aircraft finally hits a light pole on a golf range. He suffers minor cuts and is released from the hospital. The plane is heavily damaged.
A naturalized Canadian aboard a Royal Canadian Mounted Police charged jet from Winnipeg to Edmonton attacked stewardess Lene Madsen with a steak knife. Pilot Bob Pitcairn calmed the man who surrendered as the plane landed in Saskatoon. 80 passengers and six crew aboard.
