UPI reports Harrison H. Schmitt, a 37 year old geologist and one of the first scientist astronauts, will join Apollo 17 with Eugene Cernan and Ronald Evans. He will land on the moon December 6 from Cape Kennedy while Evans remains in lunar orbit. His family in New Mexico and California plan to watch the launch.
