Rocket Plane Crashes at Edwards AFB Calif
A tape recording and wreckage of an X15 rocket plane were examined to find why the fastest aircraft dove fifty miles killing the test pilot. Bargaining sessions ended without agreement as Northern Ohio Telephone Company and Local 986 of the IBEW rejected initial contracts. The current pact expires Nov. 28. union requests included 24 percent for traffic workers and 27 percent for plant staff, with a second proposal of 20 and 17 percent.
