Rep. Robert Taft Jr. of Ohio told Centre County Council for Republican Women in State College that Johnson administration faces money troubles and may impose wage and price controls or LBJ surtax. He said the admin has failed to address domestic and foreign issues.

Four month old Patrick Lyndon Nugent drew attention at a White House state dinner honoring the king of Nepal. President Johnson proudly introduced the infant to guests, ending the evening with a memorable moment in the family quarters.
About 200 students at Central State College trapped President Dr. Harry Groves in his office for two hours in a sympathy action with non academic staff. The AFSCME union had planned a strike but called it off after the confrontation.

UPI reports that Communist forces equipped with mortars bazookas and flamethrowers assaulted Loc Ninh district town for a third time in five days. US and Vietnamese troops said to have killed 525 in the battle, raising weekly Red losses to about 1,000.
In Independence Missouri a high school teacher was charged with a misdemeanor over a Halloween shooting that wounded 16 year old Steven F Coil, described as a good student. The boy sustained ankle and hip injuries and was treated in fair condition near Van Horn High School.
In Absecon New Jersey a 44 year old business executive Michael Belluscio used a rifle to kill his wife and two children and himself after warning police he planned to kill his family and himself. The home on the upper floor appeared as a slaughterhouse and residents were stunned by the mass slayings.
Wayne King with his golden saxophone entertained over 500 guests at the Harvest Ball at Norwalk Armory. The benefit dance, hosted by Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, drew attendees from Elyria Bellevue and Cleveland. Proceeds fund an ultrasonic surgical instrument cleaner for the hospital. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Herbert Rice and Miss E Janet Miller.
Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey met Malaysian leaders during a Vietnam war era trip and joked about the wobbly nature of the chair he was testing in the Malaysian parliament. He compared it to the United States Senate seat, noting his Washington chair is more wobbly in more ways than one.

Seven Seas Restaurant at 24 W Main St was sold Wednesday to Thomas Shibley a former city employee and Twine House manager in Huron Kasper the former owner will stay on for now Shibley born in Norwalk worked 11 years in the electric department and now resides at 222 W Main St with his wife and three children He plans no immediate changes in operation.
Anti-Poverty Director Emerson E. Cole applauds Congressman Charles A. Mosher for calling the Hayduk report on Huron County “a very tentative statement” meant to spur further inquiry. Cole agrees Mosher’s blunt appraisal reflects long standing program aims and urges officials to face the facts.
Lax Hike Kie Ellington, owner of a Norwalk supermarket, filed for bankruptcy in Toledo with assets of 92 828 and liabilities of 131 635. Nine secured and about 40 unsecured creditors listed. A meeting of creditors and trustee appointment will follow. a custodian to dispose of perishable stock at 315 E Main St is expected. Ellington, at home, could not be reached for comment. store closed since Friday night.
Two vacant Wakeman houses may become the first test cases under the Huron County Housing Code. Mayor Paul Burns asks the Board of Health to condemn and burn the buildings if owners refuse repair. The properties owned by King Wilmont and Tom Stevenson are unoccupied and deterioration is severe with windows missing.
