Lottery staff face heavier load amid contracting changes
Ohio Lottery Commission staff will manage a heavier workload as contracting powers shift to the state purchasing office. Acting Director Evelyn Schrenk, appointed by Gov. Rhodes, said the agency will seek the next instant game through purchasing officials, delaying the second MCA Games contract while bidding is reopened. The move follows prior scandal allegations and interim leadership changes including Richard Krabach’s interim headship.

Dollar Recovers Slightly Against Yen in Tokyo Trade
The dollar opened at 178.30 yen in Tokyo, rose from 176.05, then closed the morning at 178.10 yen. A dealer warned the 178 level would not hold, predicting a drop toward 176. The yen gains followed a nervous European market late Tuesday, with Tokyo sources saying the move reflected overnight European action rather than renewed investor confidence.
