A Norwalk woman reports a man entered her bedroom through an unlocked window early Sunday, awakening her before fleeing. Three purses were taken, including $70 to $80 in cash and a $25 savings bond. Police say the intruder entered via an unlocked window.
An eight year old, Johnny Reilly, tallies his trick or treating haul at home on Mill Street Norwalk. He lists twelve bubblegum pieces twelve suckers eight fizzies and says he ate one of each. He also notes eleven candy bars six milk balls two handfuls of butterscotch and candy corn along with a nickel and five pennies.
Time Money reports 21 year old Lynn A. Carpenter of Norwalk injured when his southbound car ran off Thomas Road in Oxford Township striking a utility pole and landing 35 yards into a cornfield. He faces a charge of failure to control his vehicle. Local police in Willard investigate a report of a foreign object placed in candy given to a child during Trick or Treat. Willard police chief says verification is ongoing. Firefighters found no damage after a car owned by Wayne Burtscher burst into flames in front of 10 W. Washington St. Monroeville students offer voters rides to the polls. A shed at Recreation Park in New London was destroyed by fire, with authorities unsure of cause.
