Monroeville Pack 240 held its Blue and Gold Banquet at St. Joseph Social Center. New Traffic Lights Eyed At Plymouth

Plymouth seeks 5000 from state Issue 1 funds for traffic lights at the village square. Mayor Elizabeth Paddock says a formal council application is needed and would go to the Ohio Highway Department if approved. The village also requests 5000 from Richland County Issue 1 funds.

Huron County Pays More Taxes Than It Receives

A Tax Foundation report shows Huron County received about 4.7 million dollars in federal grants in the last year while state totals reached 1.016 billion. County tax contributions were estimated at 7.294 million, with 1.574 billion for the state. Senator Roth notes many grants go unclaimed due to lack of awareness, listing 1,350 possibilities.
