Norwalk Should Sell Police Dog King Amid Cost Stops

Norwalk Police Chief Lawrence Hilson recommends selling King the German Shepherd police dog as the city cannot afford further refresher training in Indiana and the dog has not performed up to expectations since April. The move follows a letter from handler Ptl Gerald Kluding and prompts concern from the Norwalk Jaycees who donated 1800 dollars for a dog.

Willard resident Vivian Elena Flores won 10000 dollars in the Ohio Instant Lottery last week at Steuben General Store on Ohio 162. Store owner Marybelle George and ticket seller Harry Bowmar Jr. witnessed the win as Flores traveled to Cleveland to validate the prize. She had previously won only 2 dollars in earlier plays and has since bought more tickets at the Steuben store.

Hospital seeks 2.4 million bonds for Morse Wing in Huron County

Fisher-Titus Memorial Hospital asks Huron County Commissioners to approve 2.4 million in hospital revenue bonds to fund a new Ralph and Dora Morse Wing and remodeling. If approved, the plan would save about 350 thousand and would be fully paid by 1990.
