The Norwalk City Board of Education approved a 180 day school year for 1975 76 adding Martin Luther King Day Jan 19 as a new holiday with no classes. The calendar lists start dates holidays and grading periods through June 11 Records Day.
Norwalk High School and St. Paul High School won awards at the Northern Ohio Scholastic Press Association competition held in Bowling Green. Norwalk High earned second place in medium size papers and third in overall news writing with an honorable mention in feature writing. St. Paul received an honorable mention for small schools. individual honors went to Jerry Egle for feature writing and Kevin Hester for newswriting.
