Norwalk High Seeks 3000 Subsidy to Break Even
Norwalk High School's athletic department needs a 3000 subsidy from the board of education to cover costs this year due to low gate receipts in football and basketball, added girls sports, and a 13th varsity sport. First-year athletic director Bob Hart notes weather and attendance issues, expecting spring costs and budgeting next year. The district plans subsidies of 3000 for the high school program plus smaller allotments for elementary and junior high.
