Plymouth youth promoted in Vietnam service
James R. Phillips son of Mr and Mrs James E Phillips of Plymouth East Road Plymouth was promoted to Army Specialist Five while serving as a legal clerk with Headquarters Battery 7th Battalion 15th Field Artillery near An Khe Vietnam He joined the Army in November 1968 completed basic training at Fort Dix New Jersey and was stationed at Fort Sill Oklahoma before his overseas assignment He is a 1967 graduate of Plymouth High School.
