Patrick J. Nugent son in law of President Johnson and Jake Jacobsen former presidential aide were named to the Citizens National Bank of Austin board of directors. Nugent, who married Luci Johnson, is a UT graduate student and works part time at KTBC while continuing studies.

Walker says politicians drive Vietnam war strategy

Revised Apollo timetable targets up to six manned launches

Congress heard a revised Apollo plan calling for four or five manned launches in 1968 and six in 1969 with potential lunar landing a year early. Dr. Seamans outlined a two week Earth orbit science mission in 1968 and longer flights in 1969, while Von Braun warned the first lunar landing could come with the sixth or seventh Saturn V if no more delays occur.

State auditor reports 1966 liquor sales across Ohio. Huron County spent 1,006,662 dollars on liquor, per capita 19.48, far below the statewide average of 28.36. Erie County exceeded state averages with 2.4 million in liquor sales and 30.63 per person.

Principal Resigns at Monroeville School Board Meeting

Dale C. Berner, principal of Monroeville School, resigned to continue teaching locally after not completing principal certification. Four teachers also resigned, and the Board approved contracts for three new teachers.
