Norwalk Netmen upset Galion 4-1 to pull into a tie for second in the Northern Ohio League. Mark Zorn and Mark Mannes won at doubles 6-4 6-2. Steve Zureich won 4-6 6-4 6-0 after a slow start. Doug Berry and Doug Elmer also won.

George Snider of Bakersfield led all the way to a 40 lap USAC sprint car victory at Tri County Speedway Saturday night, beating Karl Busson of Toledo by a wide margin while Larry Dickson rose from 11th to claim third. Gene Miller of Athens won the All Ohio Decathlon with 6408 points for his third straight title at Ashland.
