Norwalk Zoning Split Over 54 Acre Trailer Park

City Council approved second reading of a zoning ordinance to rezone 54 acres north of Gallup Avenue for a 244 mobile home park amid intense Eastwood opposition. The vote stayed 5 to 2 with third reading in two weeks. Eastwood residents argued lower home values and tax costs. developers contended higher tax revenue and selective zoning. Bob Meyer, developer liaison, and attorneys presented, while Erie County planner Hooshang Mahnami concluded the park is poorly planned.
