Adelbert Dickson says he acted to help his son Richard Dickinson a JFK High School senior after finding a suspicious substance in their home. Richard was arraigned and released without bail pending a Thursday hearing after admitting he bought the marijuana in Philadelphia.

Quake Strikes Red Sea Region Off Saudi Coast

Strong earthquakes shook southern Europe and the Middle East with hundreds fleeing in panic. Structures were damaged or destroyed but no immediate fatalities reported. Seismological Institute at Uppsala said a 7.0 quake occurred off the Saudi coast in the northern Red Sea.

Four Killed as Auto Hits Wall in Lawrence County

Four members of an Ohio family died when their car struck a retaining wall on a road near the Ohio border in Lawrence County. The victims were Ronald Gongaware 28 Norma Gongaware and their children Ted 4 Tammara 2. Driver Danny Aeuff 18 Hubbard was in critical condition at Jameson Hospital.

Dr. Robert B. Solves of USC reports 100 percent accuracy predicting sex as early as six months before birth. In a six hour test at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center, cells from amniotic fluid were examined and a microscopic dot on the cell nucleus indicated a female fetus.
