About 300 adults led a renewed march in Memphis as 2,000 soldiers and 200 troopers guard the city after a day of clashes left one dead and 62 injured. Negro leaders vow another march today through the Mississippi River city. A few white catcalls appeared, but no violence occurred.
Magnolia Arkansas Fulbright says he may go fishing if the Johnson Nixon contest narrows to a Johnson Nixon race. In Washington a compromise plan to save Johnsons income tax increase loses momentum in the Senate as final votes on the tax bill are delayed and amendments wrap up. The basic bill would extend excise taxes on autos and telephones set to fall Monday.
In Lorain Ohio two nine year old boys Albert Comstock and Daniel J Stevens drowned Friday when their bicycle rode off the East Pier and into Lake Erie. A witness alerted authorities and the Coast Guard recovered the bodies about 20 minutes later.
In Prague the National Assembly elected 73 year old Ludvik Svoboda president of Czechoslovakia in the first secret ballot since 1948. The general was acceptable to Soviets and reform minded Czech leaders, despite student protests demanding an intellectual figurehead.
Police and FBI agents probed a wave of suspicious fires in five Loop department stores including Carson Pirie Scott & Co. The sixth floor blaze caused the heaviest damage with an estimated $20 million loss at the Carson store. alarms sounded within two hours at four other outlets.
London sources say Prime Minister Harold Wilson may reshuffle the labor government cabinet to save his job as Labor candidates suffer four by election defeats in the House of Commons highlighting political turmoil.
Senator Robert F. Kennedy rejected reports he offered Louisiana Governor John McKeithen the second spot on his presidential ticket. In Flagstaff, Kennedy answered with a brief no and declined further comment.

Intelligence officers in Da Nang meanwhile reported anti Communist uprisings in three villages of northern South Vietnam.
T and A Safeway Inc will construct an 18 000 square foot brick supermarket on Benedict Avenue in Norwalk next week, marking a revived presence for the chain after a seven to eight year absence. The $200 000 project sits on Woodward lots between Norwalk Medical Center and Firelands Boulevard with builder Gene H Zediker of Mansfield. The nine store chain is led from Mansfield, with locations in Mansfield Crestline Ashland and Mt Vernon.

Three rural Norwalk girls were bruised when a two car collision occurred on the east side of Nor walk Friday night. Diana C. Wright 21 Linda Ann Case 15 and Kathy Mae Case 18 were treated at Fisher Titus Memorial Hospital. The crash at Route 18 and Old State Road involved Wrights westbound car hitting a northbound car driven by Earl C King 54 of North Ridgeville who was cited to appear at 10 a.m. April 6 in Mayor's Court for failing to yield the right of way and posted a $17 bond.
