Firestone Sues Inmon To Stop Use Of Name
Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. seeks an injunction in Huron County Common Pleas Court against Sunshine Wholesale Tire Sales owned by Billy Inmon. The suit claims cancellation of Inmon’s Firestone dealership in 1976 but continued use of the Firestone name and logo and failure to return Firestone property. A hearing is set for April 8 at 9 a.m. Firestone attorney is Ronald Freeman of Norwalk.

City Parks To Get $6600 Facelift In Late April
Park and Recreation Director Robert Barnes outlined a $6600 improvement plan starting at end of April. Funds cover $3100 for Memorial Lake Park road work and equipment. $3500 to repair four other parks and a swimming pool. CETA workers at $4.13 an hour will assist. AR TEP help is being sought from the National Guard. The project includes new shelters, playground upgrades, restrooms, lighting, and surface work across Memorial Lake and Bremser Stoutenburg Pleasant Street McGuan parks along with pool enhancements.
