Willard Hillside Acres to Open New Wing on April 1

Clinton Dotson announces Hillside Acres Rest Home in Willard will open a 14 bed expansion on April 1, increasing total capacity to 42. The wing, 35 by 85 feet, includes private heat controlled rooms, baths, built in storage, music system, and call lights. Fire safety upgrades completed. Nurses on duty 24 hours. An April 6 stockholders meeting and board session follow.

Icy Pavement Blamed In More Area Accidents

Icy patches from Tuesday's five inch snow remained and caused a series of minor crashes on routes 20 224 269 and 61. Patrolmen cited Arnold Ross and Wesley Whistler for following too closely after collisions with Bellevue Schreiner and Shreve respectively. A baby was unhurt when tossed from a crib as a mother slid off Route 162. Ellen Garvin of Norristown was treated for a eye cut after a rollover on Route 4 near the Seneca line. Christine Needham lost control on Route 20 and struck a fence.
