Brown Files to Seek Ohio Supreme Court Seat in 1970s Run
Judge Clifford Brown of Norwalk announces candidacy for the Ohio Supreme Court in the Democratic primary on June 6. A former Sixth District Court of Appeals judge for 14 years, Brown previously ran for the high court in 1966 and 1974, losing the 1974 race to Thomas M. Herbert by about 50,000 votes. He argues for more small town representation on the court and notes the current incumbents are mostly from Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati. Brown and his wife Katherine live on an 18 acre Norwalk area farm with five adopted children.
