State Auditor Joseph Ferguson said $3.6 million in state income tax money has been distributed this month to Ohio’s 88 counties, bringing the total under the new program to nearly $11 million.
An independent study to address New London water issues was proposed by Eugene Funk but rejected by the council. The study, costing about 1000 dollars, will assess well capacity for 300 gallons per minute and fire storage, evaluate ground storage costs, and consider water availability across the road. council will review Burgess and Niple rate projections to gauge financing for a possible reservoir and annexation plan with Kent Sporting Goods Co. for a plant expansion and 7 acres of land including a 1150 gallon per minute line upgrade.
