Pioneer flyer Joseph Park Ernsberger dies at 84

Norwalk obituary notes Joseph Park Ernsberger, longtime owner of Park's Airport in Olena, dies in Avon Park Florida after a heart attack. He was 84, a Bronson Township native, and a former farmer dealer and restaurant operator who once flew with a reporter on his 80th birthday. Survived by grandchildren, stepchildren, nieces, and a daughter-in-law. funeral set for Saturday at Kubach Smith Funeral Home with burial in Olena Cemetery.

Norwalk's Biddy Wrestling Keeps Kids Off Cartoons

Seven year effort by Denny Corrigan to start Biddy Wrestling against cartoons has drawn boys five to 13 from Norwalk and nearby towns. Dennis McCreary now trains the youngsters under high school rules, teaching holds and sportsmanship as Derek Dilger shows slow motion moves before full power.

Colorado man charged with aggravated incest

Robert R. Starkey, 47, of Fruita, Colorado, was arrested after walking into the Huron County Jail asking deputies to help locate his car. He is held on two counts of aggravated incest in Colorado with extradition pending. Also jailed are Patricia A. Davidson, 19, New London, for a 10 day juvenile sentence for failure to pay. Danny L. Gregg, 25, San Clemente, for probation violation. and Luther W. Collins, 32, Cleveland, serving a three day sentence for failure to pay fines.
