Man Arrested On Worthless Warrant In Huron County
Raymond Schaffer of Toledo was arrested near Bellevue on a worthless warrant issued by Judge Robert W. Smith in 1976 for probation violations. The warrant was void when Smith terminated Schaffer’s probation Jan 2 1979, but deputies say the recall failed. Schaffer was later charged with two counts of simple assault after a scuffle at the jail.
