Remains Of Trailer Fire Victim Identified In Norwalk

Welding Machine Destroyed In Street Fire
A portable welding machine owned by Roth Brothers Contractors was destroyed when it caught fire on Schauss Avenue while being hauled by a truck. Fire Chief Kenneth Link cited sparks and gas as the cause. operator Richard Zeller was en route to the Hampton Baking Company plant in East Norwalk. The machine carried about 15 gallons of gas and was a total loss with damage about $1,000. Firefighters spent over 30 minutes washing gasoline from the street.

Landlady Tries to Save Victim in Trailer Fire Tragedy
Landlady Mrs. Joseph Tien recounted crawling through smoke in a trailer to find Mrs. Edward Kemming, who died Saturday night.
