Harbor scene aboard Canadian freighter Goderich
Huron Harbor shows Jack Hubbard of Huron guiding his son David as a sailor dangles from the stern of the Canadian steam freighter Goderich. The ship left port after loading 400,000 bushels of corn at Pillsbury elevators, much of it grown in Huron County, moved by a high speed conveyor. Pillsbury barred photos of the conveyor to prevent ignition of grain dust.
