Riders Aid Posse Horse Show Crown At Huron County Fair
Mrs. Arthur Veleba of Sandusky named queen at the seventh annual Huron County Women's Sheriff's Posse Horse Show held at the county fairgrounds. Attendants are Mrs. Ray Blum and Mrs. Larry Leddick of Attica. Sherriff’s Posse to appear in Lorain evening parade July 1. List of winners includes Halter Ponies, Registered Quarter Horse Chuck Graft, Solid Color Horse Phyllis O’Riely, Spotted Horse Wilma Graft, and more with their horses.

Norwalk Jaycees stage fund-raiser circus for city center
The Norwalk Jaycees sponsor the Holiday Hippodrome circus at Norwalk Junior High School to raise funds for a new community center. About 2,300 tickets sold, 600-plus dollars net. show features Sam the TV chimp and acts from Sarasota. Proceeds benefit Christie Lane School and Salvation Army groups with a second show possible if packed.

New London high school pupil Janet Eastman Mapleton youth Dennis Daniels and Crestview student Linda Young joined the Ohio State Fair Youth Choir 140 voice unit preparing in Columbus for a goodwill European tour from July 6 to July 27. A Mapleton benefit concert on April 5 aided funds with youths earning by work and sales. A Willard man Ronald J Lawrence 30 pleaded guilty to non-support and received a five year probation and suspended six month sentence.
