Ohio 13 upgrade proposed to four lanes from Mansfield to Lake Erie
Richland County official John Swanson proposes transforming Ohio 13 into a four lane highway with median in places from Mansfield to Lake Erie. He notes sections south of Mansfield and near I 70 already have four lanes and plans cost sharing with federal and state funds. Swanson says the project is 10 to 15 years away and not a limited access road. He emphasizes regional cooperation among Richland Huron and Erie counties and expects to begin with planning rather than immediate construction. A separate note: county dog wardens begin annual checks for unlicensed dogs, with licenses sold on site and a 24 hour window to comply.
