Norwalk police were summoned to Ernie's Bar at 46 Benedict Ave at 12 46 a m by an unidentified caller who said there was a fight in a bar restroom. Three men denied fighting but admitted there had been some shoving in the nature of horseplay.

In Dijon Jacques Moiton lost his license for blocking traffic and, with a 220 pound jaguar on a leash, rushed the police station to regain it. Police evicted man and animal. In Grimsby twelve schoolgirls touring the town jail were locked in a cell for ninety minutes while chocolate was passed through bars and police fetched a spare key.
