Judge Denies Weilnau Try On Probation
A Bellevue man convicted last February of violating probation on a forgery charge has been denied early release from the Mansfield Reformatory by Huron County Common Pleas Judge Robert W. Smith. Lee Weilnau, 21, filed for shock probation May 3. Smith denied the request last week. Weiman was convicted last June of forging a $15,000 check and placed on five years probation. Last February he was convicted on a charge of violating the terms of that probation, namely that he pay back the $15,000 and not leave Ohio without the court's permission. He went to Florida without permission last December and allegedly passed another bad check, according to Prosecutor Richard Hauser.
