Two Ohio men granted shock probation in separate cases
David A. Youngless, 19, from rural New London, and James O. McCowan, 21, of Bellevue, were granted five year shock probation in Common Pleas Court. Youngless pleaded guilty March 6 to auto theft involving a car owned by Curtis Boyd. McCowan, sentenced in March to 20 to 40 years for hallucinogen sales, was arrested in a Bellevue narcotics probe last summer. Norwalk Man Charged With Illegitimate Child
Dennis G. Downing, 28, of 138 Hester Street, was arrested Tuesday noon on an Erie County charge of fathering an illegitimate child. He posted a $50 bond at Norwalk police and was released. Larry E. Moore, 31, of 39 Gallup Avenue, was arrested Tuesday morning on a contempt of court charge and taken to the Erie County Jail.
