Greenwich weighs employee group coverage and fire truck needs

Greenwich officials reviewed an employee group insurance proposal from Metropolitan Insurance Agency offering hospitalization surgical benefits disability income and term life for village workers and dependents at 137 monthly for six employees. A June 23 fire board meeting will discuss a new fire truck.

New Caretaker Hired In Greenwich Village

Greenwich Village Council hired a caretaker Richard Tackett 34 Tilton Street as caretaker. He begins work Wednesday as council passes an emergency salary ordinance setting pay at 400 dollars a month from multiple funds including Street Cemetery Water Works Park and General funds.
