Fire at 94 N Main St damages New London home
Fire of unknown origin caused extensive damage to the Harry Bailey residence at 94 North Main Street Friday night. Fire Chief Al Walters said volunteers battled the blaze for about two hours with fourteen firefighters and two trucks on scene.

Driver keeps gun in cab amid toll protests
A truck driver in Illinois said he carried a gun in his cab for protection from protesting independent truckers.
